How I use AI.

As of today October 21, 2024 here is how I'm currently using AI.

My plan (starting next week) is to use MidJourney to create preliminary sketeches for full-size paintings I'm ideating. I'll use it in the same way photographs have been the basis of paintings- a tradition going back 150+ years.

I also use Claude for help on this website (mainly CSS). Oftentimes I'll be able to have a certain way I want something to look, and it will help me quickly get the code snippet I need. This rapidly speeds up the ability for me to get this site dialed in the way I like without having to resort to templates, frameworks, or libraries.

I'm not using AI to write anything currently, other than some summaries on a side-project I'm not going to mention on here (yet).

I've tried to use AI for writing but so far have been unhappy with the results, and I'm hoping it stays that way. I really want to be forced to write everything myself on this website. I may however use it in the future for transcripts and things like that. But I'll update this page if I do.

Speaking of updating this page. This page will be the permanant home of this AI policy. I'll continue to update it as my AI usage changes.

This page came about under inspiration from Derek Sivers's page on the subject. Who himself was inspired by Damola Morenikeji.
